Three Rows with Seating for Seven or Eight
The Traverse comfortably seats seven with second-row captain’s chairs, while an available second-row bench on LT increases capacity to eight. Smart Slide Seats simplify access to the third row, making it easier for passengers to enter and exit without requiring complicated seat adjustments.
The cabin is designed to accommodate adults, children, car seats, and everyday gear across all three rows. Depending on trim and equipment, available amenities include heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, premium seating materials, a panoramic sunroof, and multiple climate-control zones. Hands-Free Loading
The standard AutoSense Power Liftgate can open automatically when it detects the key fob near the rear of the vehicle. This is useful when loading groceries, strollers, sports bags, or luggage with your hands full.
An available power-folding third row and RS model’s One-Touch Fold second row can make it easier to change the cargo layout without manually moving each seat.
Standard 17.7-Inch Touchscreen Technology
Every Traverse includes a 17.7-inch diagonal infotainment touchscreen and an 11-inch diagonal Driver Information Center. These large displays provide access to vehicle settings, media, compatible navigation, safety alerts, and important driving information without requiring an upgrade to a higher trim.
Wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility, wireless phone charging, and second-row USB ports are standard. Available Google built-in compatibility adds integrated access to Google Maps, compatible apps, and Google Gemini. Additional available technology includes HD Surround Vision, premium audio, a Wi-Fi® hotspot, and OnStar® connected services.
Turbocharged Performance
A 2.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine produces 328 horsepower and 326 lb.-ft. of torque. It pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission for responsive acceleration during daily driving, highway merging, and travel with passengers or cargo.
Front-wheel-drive models can return an EPA-estimated 20 MPG in the city and 26 MPG on the highway. Available all-wheel drive adds traction for wet pavement, loose surfaces, and changing road conditions.
Standard 5,000-Pound Towing
LT, Z71, and RS models include trailering equipment supporting a standard towing capacity of up to 5,000 pounds. This can accommodate many small campers, utility trailers, boats, and recreational loads.

Traverse Z71 Off-Road Equipment
The Traverse Z71 is designed for drivers who regularly encounter dirt roads, uneven routes, and trail approaches. Its standard Advanced Twin-Clutch all-wheel-drive system can direct torque between the rear wheels to support traction where it is needed.
Z71 equipment includes Terrain Mode, Hill Descent Control, an off-road suspension, a skid plate, frequency-based suspension dampers, and 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires. These features make it the most capable Traverse for trips beyond paved roads while preserving three-row passenger space and everyday comfort.

Super Cruise can manage steering, acceleration, and braking under appropriate conditions, but it is not an autonomous system. The driver must remain attentive and ready to take control.
